I can't find my course

Click My e-learning in the top left corner of the page

I can't remember my password

Enter your email address in the blank box and we will send you your password.

If you don't receive this email, please check your Junk mail folder.

How do I change my email address or password?

Click the blue "my account"--> "my details" button towards the top right of the page.

I have watched a course but it is not setting to 'complete'

All the courses are designed to have audio accompaniment. You should complete each screen by listening to the full audio commentary and the 'next' key should flash before you move on As you progress through the course attempt all the questions to test your knowledge. With the exception of Assessments, your answers are not monitored but are designed to help you consolidate what you have learned. After answering each question please ensure you listen to the audio feedback.

Jumping ahead too quickly and not waiting for all course content to be shown will result in the course not updating to 'complete'. In this case your certificate will not be generated automatically.

How do I print my certificate?

Once you have watched each page of the course in full and have attempted all the questions, a certificate will automatically be generated for you, which you can print by clicking the orange "VIEW & PRINT CERTIFICATE" button in your e-learning.

DNSTART and DNNET II allow you to print a certificate for each module; you will be able to print these from inside the course once you have completed each module and passed the assessment.

How many computers can I use my CD-ROM on?

Usually programmes can only be used on one computer and are for single person use. However, some programmes can be used by multiple users or on multiple computers.

Prevention in Practice:

  • unlimited use on 5 computers.
  • each use will give you access to print 2 CPD certificates

Oral Cancer:

  • unlimited use on 5 computers.
  • each use on a computer will give you access to print 2 CPD certificates

Key Skills v2.0:

  • unlimited use on 1 computer for 1 user
  • additional certificates gained on same computer will incur an additional charge

If you wish to use the programmes on more than the specified number computers or for more than the specified number of users, you will need to buy additional licenses. Please contact us for information and prices.

How do I unlock my CD-ROM?

I have an internet connection:

  1. Place the CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive
  2. The programme will normally launch automatically. If it does not, double click the 'open.exe' file
  3. You will be asked for the product's 'Serial Number', this is found on the product packaging and starts with 3 letters followed by a series of numbers.
  4. On the next screen, enter your first name, last name and postcode.
  5. You may also be asked to provide your full contact details. Once this is done, the product will be unlocked.

 

I do not have an internet connection:

  3. Click on the option which states "Click here if you experience difficulties" or similar

  5. You will be asked for the 'Serial Number'. This is found on the product packaging and starts with 3 letters followed by a series of numbers.
  6. You will then be asked for the 'Product Code', which will be shown on your screen.

Once you have completed the programme a completion code will be displayed. Please contact us at support@healthcare-learning.com or telephone us on 0207-400-8989 quoting the completion code and we can email or send you a certificate.

I'm not able to watch the live webinar. How can I watch a recording?

A recording of the webinar will be available the next working day.

  1. Click the 'Webinar Recordings' tab
  2. click the webinar you want to watch to see the recording.

Do I get CPD for watching a live webinar?

Yes, you will earn CPD for the length of the webinar.

Most webinars are 90 minutes long, earning you 1 hour and 30 minutes of verified CPD, which you can print a certificate for.

Do I get CPD for watching a webinar recording?

Yes, you earn the same CPD as you would if the webinar was live.

How do I get my CPD certificate?

After you have watched the webinar:

  • Go to 'My Bookings'
  • Click Booking History &Certificates'
  • and submit 'feedback'

Your feedback will be processed and your certificate issued within 5 working days.

I can't log in to the live webinar on Adobe Connect

If your login and password do not give you access, please use the 'Enter as a Guest' option. This will allow you to view and participate in the webinar.

Send us an email to advise that you have logged in as a guest. We will match your guest name to your account and issue your CPD.

Unfortunately, unless you have misspelled your username, this is not something you are able to choose yourself and cannot be changed.

How do I upload a photo to my profile?

How do I subscribe to email/SMS alerts informing me I have been sent a message?

When you log in:

  • click your name or the picture box towards the top left hand corner
  • select the 'yes' box next to 'Allow SMS alerts' / 'Allow email alerts'

How do I unsubscribe to email/SMS alerts informing me I have been sent a message?

  • deselect the 'yes' box next to 'Allow SMS alerts'/'Allow email alerts'

  • Go to 'MyCPD', which you can access from the top navigation bar
  • Click 'My CPD record'
  • Click 'print'

When I try to print my certificate nothing happens

The certificate opens in a new window but your browser may be set to block pop-ups. Change the browser setting to allow pop-ups. If you are unsure how to do this please contact us at support@healthcare-learning.com or phone 0207-400-8989

When does my CPD cycle start?

CPD cycles run over five year periods. For dentists, the cycle starts in January and for DCPs the cycle starts in August.  The year will depend on when you registered.

What are my core CPD requirements?

Dentists and DCPs are required by the General Dental Council to undertake:

  • 10 hours of verifiable CPD in medical emergencies
  • 5 in disinfection and decontamination and
  • 5 in radiography and radiation protection. 

Additionally, GDC recommends that dentists and DCPs working in a clinical environment carry out CPD legal and ethical issues and complaints handling.

How do I know if I'm meeting my core CPD requirements?

The homepage shows the hours you have completed for each core CPD topic alongside the requirements to be met for each topic.

A graph of your completed core CPD is also shown at the top-right of every screen. Place your mouse over each bar for details of your hours.

What programmes are available to me?

To find a programme, click a topic in the left-hand navigation (e.g. 'dental radiography') or click 'my core cpd' then see the e-learning tab.

What do I need to view the e-learning courses?

You will need Adobe's Flash player on your computer. This free application can be download here.

What do I need to view the webinars?

Prior to attending any webinar, you should test your settings. You can do this by going here: Test my settings at Adobe Connect

Can I add external events to 'my core cpd record'?

Yes - simply click 'add new' when you're are on the 'my core cpd' screen then fill in the fields and submit the entry. Your record will automatically update. You can also upload CPD certificates so they are all in one place.

How can I find out the details of my subscription?

The details of your subscription are shown under 'my profile', which you can access from the top navigation.

How can I change my password?

To update your password click 'my profile', which you can access from the top navigation.

How can I change my current CPD cycle?

To update the details stored about your current CPD cycle, click 'my profile', which you can access from the top navigation.

How can I change my address or name?

To update your personal details, click 'my profile', which you can access from the top navigation.

How long is my subscription?

Your subscription to this site is valid for five years and an annual payment is taken from your credit card each year at the same time.
